It seems that yesterday Google were forcing us to search through the UK domain. If you went to http://www.google.com and you were in the UK then you got diverted to http://www.google.co.uk.
Looking again today, I see that there has been a slight shift of strategy. They must still be detecting that we come from the UK because, the google home page shows a ‘go to Google.uk’ option.
There is more news about Google and it relates to eBooks .....

This is now coming your way on the ExpressionEngine Expressway! Thanks to wonderul technical supprt from the the people at pMachine, I have managed to convert pagetoscreen.net to use the ExpressionEngine blogging/content management tool from pMachine Pro.
pMachine is terrific but there were several reasons why I wanted to make this conversion.

Well no RSS doesn’t mean that at all it actually means .... well it’s rather complicated. Timo Hannay, Associate Director, Nature Publishing Group gave us the rundown on RSS at todays Online-Information conference in London. The reason for the confusion over the acronym RSS is that in its first version (0.9) it meant Rich Site Summary. Later developers labelled version 2.0 Really Simple Syndication. With version 1.0 came the integration of another acronym - RDF (Resource Description Framework), and so we now have RDF Site Syndication. Version 2.0 of RSS seems to have less functionality than version 1.0. Confused?

At todays Online-Information conference in London, Louis Rosenfeld gave a keynote on Information Architecture, and was cheerful and optimistic. He gave us a survey of his views on the changing patterns of work for Information Architects.
Louis Rosenfeld, co-author of Information Architecture for the World Wide Web talked about those who work with corporations (innies) and those who work as self-employed consultants (outies).
