King Kong is scary

Adobe and Macromedia are now One

I see that Adobe are now offering the Flash Player from their site!

They are also selling a bundled product that consists of the Creative Suite Premium and Macromedia Studio 8. I thought for one moment I could have upgraded my CS to get all of the Macromedia products. No way Jose! You need to have an earlier version of both sets. In other words, I need Macromedia Studio MX.

How do people feel about this? How many of us are going to have both products already? What’s the point? What is the point of having both  Dreamweaver and GoLive?

On a related note: I see that the Macromedia site does not display the Macromedia Logo - instead - the Adobe one. I also notice that today, they have forgotten to change the favicon. Whoops.

The FAQs on the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com makes interesting reading. I found a reference to Adobe Dreamweaver
