About PageToScreen
This web site is a kind of depository for all the things about getting stuff onto the web.
Also see my web site about my boat AViVA. This was built with iWeb (not exactly to web standards but interesting tool for web building).
Why ‘PageToscreen’? You ask. This was a book title - a series of essays edited by Ilana Snyder and published by Routledge in 1998. I thought it was an appropriate name for my web site, since most of the web projects seem to be about helping people move from a paper world to an online one.
This web site is run by me, Chris Jennings and represents a location for all things that interests me and seems worth sharing.
I am is responsible for the web site for the School of Arts and Humanities at Oxford Brookes University and although we have a pretty rigid branding style to adhere to, I have managed to get this running within ExpressionEngine, which is used as the Content management system. In fact, you can check out my profile page to see how I give all academic staff their own page to manage. I have built several web sites and have a number of projects running right now. You can see a portfolio of screen-based work here.
My special knowledge is in the use of ExpressionEngine (the software used on this blog) as a very customisable CMS (Content Management System). If you need a web site and you want to be able to update it easily, without the need to get involved with HTML or any tagging or coding, then I may be able to help you. Please contact me (Chris Jennings) by clicking the Make Contact link.
